A fridge that runs but doesn't cool, frosts up overnight, or leaks water under the vegetable drawer usually points to one of five parts. We test the compressor, thermostat, defrost system and door seals on site, then quote the exact fix before touching anything.

For sealed-system problems — gas leak, compressor failure — we bring the recovery equipment and either repair in the flat or explain honestly when a replacement makes more financial sense than a repair.

Washing machines

Not draining, not spinning, door locked, knocking on spin — these are the four faults we see most often. We test the drain pump, door lock, motor brushes and control board, then repair in a single visit wherever possible.

Before we leave, the machine runs a full cycle in front of you — fill, wash, drain, spin — so you see the problem is actually gone, not just "should be".

Dishwashers

Standing water at the bottom of the drum, dishes coming out dirty, or an error code blinking on the panel — most of the time it's a clogged filter, blocked drain line, faulty heater or worn door seal. We clean and repair in the same visit.

On the way out, we run a short cycle with the filter assembly cleaned and check for leaks under the machine. No hidden water damage left behind.

Ovens & cooktops

An oven that won't heat, heats unevenly, or trips the breaker — usually the heating element, thermostat or main switch. Gas cooktops that won't light often just need the ignition electrodes and burner caps cleaned and adjusted.

We work on built-in, freestanding and pyrolytic models, on gas, electric and induction. If a part is manufacturer-specific and not in the van, we order it and come back within 48 hours at no extra visit cost.

Air conditioning

An AC that blows warm is either low on refrigerant or has a leak — usually both. We always run a leak test first, recharge only with the correct refrigerant (R32, R410a or R134a), and clean the filters and evaporator as part of the job.

We service split, multi-split and ducted systems. On the first visit we bring the gauges, leak detector and a stock of common filters. If the compressor or board has failed, we quote the replacement on the spot.

Tumble dryers

Clothes coming out damp after a full cycle, drum not turning, or the machine cutting out mid-cycle — usually the moisture sensor, drum belt, heating element or thermal fuse. All of them are diagnostic-and-repair-in-one-visit jobs on most condenser and vented models.

For heat-pump dryers we check the compressor and refrigerant circuit on site. If the fault needs manufacturer parts, we order them and come back at no extra visit charge — the diagnosis fee still comes off the final bill.
